Terms of engagement

These terms apply alongside the engagement letter you sign with Balsworth & Co. Ltd. If the two differ, the engagement letter wins.
Our services
We provide the services listed in your engagement letter for the fixed monthly fee shown there. Work outside that list is quoted in writing before we start.
Fees and payment
Fees are payable monthly in advance by direct debit. Prices on this website are before VAT. We review fees once a year and give you at least one month’s notice of any change.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate records in good time, and for approving returns before we file them. Tax and penalties remain your liability, except where a penalty arises from our own error.
Ending the engagement
Either of us can end the engagement with one month’s written notice. We hand your records to your new accountant promptly.
