Landlord accounts

Your rental income and costs turned into a property account and a tax return, with every allowable cost claimed and nothing left to guess.

From £39 a month What is included

Landlords are often the people most likely to overpay tax, because their costs arrive in pieces: an agent’s statement one month, a boiler repair the next, an insurance renewal the month after that.

Send us your letting-agent statements, or your bank statements if you manage the property yourself, and we turn them into a single property account. We claim every allowable cost: repairs, insurance, agent and management fees, service charges, ground rent, accountancy and travel to the property.

Mortgage interest is no longer deducted from rent; instead you get a tax credit at 20%. We work it out and show you how it changes your bill, so the number is never a surprise.

From April 2027, landlords with income over £30,000 must keep digital records and send quarterly updates under Making Tax Digital. If that includes you, we set it up and file the updates for you.

Questions about landlord accounts

Can I claim for repairs and improvements?

Repairs, yes, against the year's rent. Improvements are a capital cost and reduce the gain when you sell. We sort them for you.

Do jointly owned properties cost more?

No. We prepare both owners' shares under the same fee if both returns are with us.

Should my properties be in a company?

Sometimes. We look at it each year, but moving can trigger stamp duty and capital gains tax, so we only suggest it when the numbers work.

“Priya went through two years of letting-agent statements and found repairs, insurance and service charges I had never put through. The calls were all included.”
